Word Wall Ideas
Here are three different and valid
ways to do word walls.
Notice that each examples puts words
in semantic (meaning) clusters,
rather than in alphabetical order.
(Be patient. There are several pictures
downloading.)
The title of the word wall .... maybe a little too cute?
The Timbre Car, with "tone color"
right next to "timbre"
to help students remember its other name, "tone color."

they retrieve and replace the instruments.

The category is "opposites." Words may belong in more
than one category.
Giving students experience in working with words in varying contexts
or categories
enriches their understanding of the word.
