Face it.
The Sunshine State Standards numbering system is downright arduous to use in the classroom. While it makes sense from a state-wide systemic point of view, it's just too ponderous to be easily managed by this classroom teacher. User friendly, it's not.
That's why I replaced the regular system with my own numbers, 1-45, for example. All I did was to number the GLEs from files that I downloaded from DOE.
This is so much easier to use and manage. So instead of M.U.D.1.2.1.1 (aaargh!!!), it's just 37 (or whatever number it is in each grade level).
